How does the free trial work?

The free trial offers a no-commitment exploration of Libris or a free head start to your visual asset management effort. We recommend using Libris as if you plan to use it longer-term including uploading a significant amount of assets and inviting users. All of this is possible the same day you start your trial, and it allows you to really test whether Libris is a good fit for you and your organization.

What happens when the free trial is over?

All plans include the powerful features that help our clients simplify their visual asset management. At any point during the 14-day trial, you may opt to enroll in a longer-term plan and enjoy the balance of your trial period at no cost. If you decide Libris is not for your organization we allow you to download all your assets, and 90 days after your trial account expires we purge all your assets from our system.

What type of plans do you offer?

Libris supports organizations of all sizes and with different visual asset management needs. The Professional plan offers a comprehensive solution for multi-user workgroups with various administrative roles. Libris can also be scaled down for smaller teams (Basic). All come with a 14 day free trial and unlimited contributors. If you require additional users, storage, or other custom features, we can customize a package for you as we’ve done for both mid-sized organizations as well as enterprise firms.

How do you differentiate the Admin, Editor and Tagger roles?

The Admin oversees the account, assigns administrative users roles, controls billing and payment and has all the Library access of the Editor. Libris Editors have unrestricted access to the entire Library and may create or modify collections and galleries; upload, move or delete files; set access permissions to collections and galleries; set prices for sale/licensing; and add Photographers. Taggers can add or modify metadata—your search terms—but not upload, move, or delete files or add other users. The Tagger is particularly helpful in adding keywords or putting names to faces but with a reduced risk of adversely affecting the organizational structure of your Library.

What if I want to add user seats or need to increase my storage capacity?

You can always upgrade or downgrade your plan. We’re flexible and here to help you simplify how you manage your photos and videos. We ensure your processes are not disrupted and will work with you to structure your account in such a way that you can use it to succeed both in the short and long term.

What specific features are included?

All plans include the powerful features that help our clients simplify their visual asset management. This ranges from cloud-based storage, extensive file support for both photos and videos, upload methods using Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, Aperture as well as via browser, desktop, mobile app and FTP, unlimited collections and galleries, a custom public portal, visibility and access control, SSO, image proofing and delivery, security and privacy features and ways to both social share and sell your assets. With a Professional or Enterprise plan you also receive custom metadata fields and expanded training and consulting. For Enterprise clients we can build out a custom plan including custom configuration, reporting, a custom mobile contributor app and a service level agreement. Is training and customer support included?

Yes! Our goal is for you to succeed using Libris. We’re happy to guide you during your free trial, and once you pay for a Libris plan, you’re invited to a training session. This is for you and whomever on your team you’d like to include. Ongoing support is available through our Client Services team by phone or email from 9am - 6pm ET Monday through Friday. Custom training and support packages may also be created upon request.

What file formats does Libris support?

Libris supports all major image formats including JPG, TIFF, PSD, PNG, EPS, GIF, PDF, DNG and camera raw. For video we support a broad range of video container formats, codecs, bitrates, and frame sizes & rates, including widely used formats like .MP4, .MOV, and M4V. Are my assets secure using Libris?

Yes, Libris employs the best-of-breed technology platforms at every security layer. We have 100% durability and have not lost a single bit of data in 11 years. We have passed rigorous security audits from highly scrutinizing clients, including government entities like the New York City Mayor’s Office. On top of security, in these 10 years of managing our proprietary cloud-based platform, our system has proven it’s reliability with a track record of greater than 99.9% uptime with over 2 Petabytes of data being managed.

Do I pay for the year up front?

Yes, our most popular payment options are for the annual plans. Every plan includes a monthly payment option but we’ve found that most organizations prefer a discounted annual payment at the beginning of their enrollment or renewal term.

Can I sign a multi-year contract?

Multi-year contracts are available with the ability to receive a discount on the annual pricing. Ask us about this during your trial or call us at 212-206-0808.

What types of payment do you accept?

We offer payment by invoice or credit card. During the 14 day trial you don’t have to worry about this as you can use Libris without any payment.

What are the implementation/set up fees?

There are none! We like to keep things simple and that also applies to the pricing. There’s an annual fee and it includes support to implement and help you set up. If you require additional support beyond the initial training session included we can easily create a tailored package for your organization.

Does Libris offer discounts to non-profit organizations?

Yes, we offer a discounted fee to non-profits that are charitable groups. Ask us about this during your trial or call us at 212-206-0808.

Do you also offer cheaper plans for independent photographers?

How long does it take to get set up?

You can literally get your account set up within a few hours. All you need to do is create your organization system via file folders, upload the photos and videos and decide who should have what type of access. If you have terabytes of photos and videos to upload or need to migrate from another system, we can help you figure out the best way to do this.

Are there technical implementation requirements?

Implementation is easy! All you need is a solid internet connection. Libris is visual asset management in the cloud so you don't need to integrate with any internal systems. We’ve successfully helped hundreds of different organizations set up Libris, each with their own situation and unique asset management approach before using Libris. We enable beginning processes as well as migrating from other asset management systems.

What if I have questions about my account after the initial training and setup?

We’ve got your back. Our goal is for you to succeed using Libris. Ongoing support is available through our Client Services team by phone or email from 9am - 6pm ET Monday through Friday. Custom training and support packages may also be created upon request.

How do I cancel my account?

If you decide to cancel your Libris account, you may call us at 212-206-0808. We’ll schedule your account to expire at the last day of your billing cycle and will confirm your cancellation in writing via email.

What happens with my assets once I’ve canceled my Libris account?

We advise you to download all your assets before the final date or you can send us a hard drive and we’ll transfer your assets (at an hourly rate) and return them. We'll purge all your assets from our servers 90 days after your subscription expires.
